Internet Explorer Vulnerability Update
|Microsoft releases patch for Internet Explorer|
Microsoft has released a security update patch for the Internet Explorer vulnerability that we announced Wednesday April 30th, 2014. This vulnerability affects all versions of Internet Explorer (versions 6 through 11) running on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, and the Windows Server operating systems.
Starting at 11:30 AM today we will begin pushing out this security patch to all of our managed services workstations, laptops, and servers. This includes all computers and servers covered under our Freedom IT Pro, Freedom IT Plus, and Total Freedom services.
The download and installation of the patch is silent and transparent to your use. However, a reboot of your computer is necessary to complete the patch installation. You may be prompted with the message below. We strongly encourage rebooting to minimize risk to this vulnerability. If you do not receive this alert, please reboot your computer at the close of business. Servers will be rebooted at 5 AM Saturday morning.
If your workstation or laptop is not on during this time, the patch will be applied the next time it is restarted.
